The Saleen S7R is the endurance-racing version of the S7, a mid-engined, Ford-powered supercar developed by Steve Saleen, an American race-car engineer. There were 18 S7R cars built, 14 by Ray Mallock Ltd in England and the final four at Saleen’s production facility in Irvine, California. This is chasis # 66R, one of the four built in the U.S. The engine displaces 7.0 liters, produces 600 horsepower and 625 lb.-ft. of torque. The car weighs 2,425 lbs. ORECA, the well-known French race team, campaigned this car in the 2006 LeMans Series, winning the Spa-Francorchamps Lemans race. In 2007, it won the FFSA French GT Series with three first-place finishes, seven podiums and 12 top-five finishes. It also raced in the 24 Hours of LeMans, finishing 5th in class.
