This car was shipped from AC Cars in England to Shelby-American in Los Angeles in October of 1963. When completed by Shelby, it was air-shipped to Broad Motors in Philadelphia in January of 1964. It was dark green with a tan interior, and was equipped with extras including aluminum valve covers, chrome wire wheels, a luggage rack and whitewall tires for an invoice total of $5,584. In 1968, it was purchased by its third owner, who kept the car for nearly 50 years. During that time, it was painted red, the interior color changed to black, and the wire wheels were replaced with Halibrand racing wheels. Now in the 3 Dog Garage collection, it has been restored to its original colors and mechanical specification.
