This '36 Ford roadster was built in 1958 and first shown to the public at the Portland (OR) Roadster Show in 1959, where it won "Best Custom Roadster." Built by Dee Wescott and named "Dreamboat" for the show circuit, it sported a chopped top, a hopped-up flathead Mercury engine and custom visual touches like a '40 LaSalle grille. Restored in 2004, this "full custom" defines the '50s look so well it won at Portland again–when shown there forty-six years later.
